Soroptimist International of Placerville, a global organization that works to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment, presented a $2,500 Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women (formerly the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards) to help a local woman improve her economic situation.
Every girl dreams of going to their High School Prom. Soroptimist International of Placerville is helping to make that dream come true. Through donations of new and gently used formal dresses and accessories we are able to provide gowns and accessories to local High School girls at no cost.
Are you a high schooler in your senior year?
Do you need funding for your college education? Soroptimist International of Placerville is currently accepting applications to apply for $1,000 scholarships. See your local high school counselor for the application. For more information, please call 530.344.1476
Several club members gathered to decorate our "club tree" to help decorate Placerville's portion of Highway 50 through town. We had fun "zip" tying ornaments to the tree and winding about 8 strands of lights on it.
