Soroptimist Placerville Club Offers Financial Assistance for Continuing Education And Training

Women who are the primary wage earners for their families and who need financial assistance to continue their education or receive training can now apply for a Soroptimist Live Your Dream Education and Training Award for Women.  The Placerville Club awards $2,500 to its chosen recipient, who will then advance to compete at the Soroptimist Sierra Nevada Region level for an additional $5,000. The top region recipients then become candidates for one of three Soroptimists of the Americas $10,000 finalist awards.

Recipients can use the Live Your Dream Award to offset costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education or additional skills and training. This includes tuition, books, childcare, car fare or any other education related expense.
