Soroptimist International of Placerville is proud to announce the addition of a new member to the historical club — Claudia Jachens of Rescue.  Ms. Jachens is a longtime local resident and a graduate of Ponderosa High School.  She and her husband have 3 children (ages 18-29) and 2 yellow labs.  She raises guide dogs for the blind to empower people who are blind and visually impaired to live with increased independence, confidence and mobility.  She’s very active in 4HG.

As a former “Friend of Soroptimist” she’s twice volunteered at the Club’s annual Prom Boutique, attended several of the Club’s social activities and fundraisers.

The club is excited to have such a talented woman join its membership.
